Driveway culverts, installed and replaced.
New and replacement driveway culverts that keep the ditch flowing and the driveway solid. Permits at the road handled for you.
Sound familiar?
- The old pipe is crushed and the ditch backs up.
- Water runs over the driveway in a hard rain.
- The ends of the pipe are washing out.
- We need a way across the ditch to get onto new land.
What we do
New culverts
A pipe sized to the ditch and set so the water keeps moving and the driveway over it stays solid.
Replacements
We dig out the old rusted or crushed pipe, haul it away and set a new one.
Rock at the ends
Large stone at both ends where water comes through fast, so the ditch stops eating the driveway.
Permits at the road
We pull the county or township permit for you and pass the fee through at cost.
How we build it. Pipe bedded and backfilled in stone, with rock at the ends where the water runs fast, so it stays put.

What does a culvert cost?
A new 12 in by 20 ft culvert is typically about $2,000. Replacing a 15 in by 24 ft pipe with rock at the ends is about $3,600. Permit fees at the road are passed through at cost.
What size do I need?
It depends on how much water the ditch carries. Most driveway culverts here are 12 or 15 in, and the county or township sometimes sets a minimum at the road. We size it at the site visit.
Do I need a permit?
If the pipe is in the road ditch, yes. We apply for it and pass the fee through at cost.
How long does it take?
Most culverts go in during a single visit.
Can you redo the driveway too?
Yes. If the drive over the pipe is worn out, we rebuild it at the same time. The estimator can price both together.
